Prena + Kunal’s Los Cabos Destination wedding

Kunal and I met in April of 2020, the start of COVID. We had both gone to high school together, he was 2 years elder to me in school. I had known “of him” as his younger brother had been in the same year but did not ever know Kunal directly.  It so happened, both sets of parents had asked us to return to home during the initial precaution of COVID.  I was living and working in NYC, and Kunal finishing up Bschool in Chicago. What prompted our initial meeting and friendship was “distance” as we both recognized each other based on a location algorithm of a dating app, messaged there and took it from there. As my brother likes to joke, there were only two criterias… 1) vaccination and 2) a 2-mile distance. 

Prena and Kunal’s wedding weekend consisted of four events from welcome party, Mehndi, Sangeet and wedding.  Each event had a unique theme, vibe, color palette and decor aesthetics. Needless to say, it was definitely a fun planning process.
