Valentine's Day Dinner Party — Exquisite Events

It is an absolute compliment when our past clients reach out to us time and again. Such was the case with this client. We had planned and designed his wife’s 40th birthday party with a fabulous Great Gatsby Theme where guests stayed and danced until the wee hours of the morning. This time he wanted to invite a few couples from his YPO group to his home.

Since the party was a day before Valentines Day, it was a natural progression to have the theme represented in full swing. Clients dining table was covered in the most elegant linen of cream and gold. Gold chargers, taupe napkins, pink and gold rim glassware and gold flatware exuded understated elegance.

Flowers were all in shades of pinks to deep reds and gold and pink candles added further to the decadence. Client’s credenza was filled with pink and gold votives and candles and flowers were placed everywhere in the house.

Our butler received the guests and escorted them to the family room where they enjoyed delicious canapés and champagne. Beautiful and soft jazz played in the background and guests were escorted to the dining room for a decadent dining experience.

After being served hot soup and salad, the entrees which looked like pieces of art were brought out and served to the guests. Wines were paired with each course and amidst brilliant conversation and laughs, the cuisine was enjoyed by all tremendously. Instead of serving dessert at the table, we had decided to have an elaborate dessert display with coffee and tea. This was so guests could enjoy moving about and chit chatting while having the desserts.

It was a beautiful night filled with magic, romance and elegance. Each couple was presented with flowers upon departing along with a book on LOVE and the menus that had been printed for this special dinner. Needless to say I would have loved to have been a guest at this decadent table!
