Lunch at the Haveli in Lahore, Pakistan

A few years ago we had the pleasure and a unique experience of working with this couple who chose to hold their post ceremony lunch at the Haveli in Lahore, Pakistan. This hidden treasure lies in the old walled city of Lahore and belongs to Yusuf Salahuddin, who happens to be the grandson of Allama Iqbal. Allama Iqbal is one the greatest poets that ever lived and his poetry has been translated in multiple languages all over the world and his grandson Mr. Salahuddin holds the title of Lahore’s cultural guru. Anyone who is from Lahore and into the culture, architecture and love for old buildings, knows about this unique and stunningly beautiful jewel. The Haveli is almost two centuries old and came into the family’s possession around 1870 and has seen it all: celebrities, politicians, literati and icons. It isn’t just this aura of historical significance that shapes the appeal of the place; its careful aesthetic, maintenance and décor is the real treat.

Our couple wanted the event to be on the simpler side to ensure the beauty and integrity of the architecture was in the forefront. With minimal décor it was a treat for the family and guests to enjoy lunch in the most decadent environment.
