Ode to Coco Photo Shoot

ode to coco photo shoot

We’ve always been obsessed with Chanel and finally decided to pay a proper tribute to the design legend. The “Ode to Coco” photo shoot at Revelry Event Designers‘ warehouse was an incredible collaboration with RevelryHidden Garden Floral Design and Wildflower Linen.

Revelry created a backdrop of hanging glass globes layered over silky grey fabric and hung two of their sparkling silver globe chandeliers with crystals above the table. Then we decorated the tabletop with our brand new handmade silver collection and Hidden Garden Floral Design‘s lovely florals in soft pinks, lavender and greens. Wildflower Linen dressed the table in custom-designed quilted chair covers that looked like Chanel bags and a rich velvet tablecloth.

Sanjay’s 40th Birthday Party at The Montage

exquisite events designs a 40th birthday party at the montage

Mona and Sanjay are the most beautiful couple! We coordinated their wedding a few years ago at the Ritz Carlton Dana Point on a perfect day with the ocean as their backdrop. They now have an adorable baby boy and as Sanjay’s 40th birthday was approaching, Mona asked us to help her plan an amazing party to celebrate the occasion.

After visiting many venues, Mona settled on the Montage in Beverly Hills and we came up with several ideas to keep the evening filled with fun and entertainment. We decided to create a step-and-repeat wall on the red carpet for photographs as guests entered the cocktail area, in addition to a photo booth and cigar roller. Guests enjoyed amazing tray-passed appetizers and even a specialty white drink called the Marilyn Monroe.

Rajnit and Jay’s Anniversary Party

Monday, March 5th, 2012

Rajnit and Jay wanted to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary in an intimate setting with their family and close friends.  Their anniversary was December 30th, and after visiting many venues, they finally chose the Montage Beverly Hills.  Rajnit and Jay loved the idea of having their guests first come for the reception, followed by an after party later that night. The Montage proved to be the perfect location! Scarpetta, the hotel’s fine dining restaurant, created by award-winning Chef Scott Conant, was an excellent spot for the after party.  Throughout the various meetings with vendors and the hotel, Raj and Jay were very involved in the planning process, which always makes it fun.

Marvelous Mandaps

Tuesday, January 24th, 2012

Designing a mandap is an artform all it’s own. The mandap is the focal point and sacred four-pillared structure of the wedding ceremony, where the exchanging of wedding vows takes place surrounded by family and the sacred fire. The mandap is symbolic and represents the four Vedas and the four goals of a fulfilled life, which are Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha. Each pillar of the mandap represents the support and strength of each parent of the bride and groom. The day before the wedding ceremony, an important ritual known as Mandap Mahurat or Mandap Ropan is held to bless the mandap.
